Economic Times: Manipur relief camps’ inmates to crochet amigurumi dolls for global market

The global entertainment brand, ‘1 million Heros’, has introduced a sustainable livelihood program for internally displaced persons in Manipur, India. The program involves training individuals in crocheting amigurumi dolls, which will be marketed globally. The training is being conducted in five relief camps, with the aim of providing a short-term livelihood for the displaced individuals, particularly women. The dolls not only provide economic benefits but also help improve the mental health of  the victims of violence.
