1 Million Heroes began as a book bringing hope to children through the stories of real-life champions. Project Stitching Hope began as a way to help displaced women rebuild their lives through crocheting. Both started as small sparks — one to inspire children with timeless wisdom, the other to heal women through the power of creation.
What makes them special is that they never stand still.
Every story told, every doll held, every stitch sewn adds to something bigger. A child somewhere learns to rise with courage. A woman somewhere rebuilds her life with dignity. And together, the circle of impact expands.
From classrooms to living rooms, from local workshops to global festivals — we just keep growing. Not because we chase size, but because hope, courage, and kindness are seeds that naturally multiply when shared.

Our Journey
1 Million Heroes began in 2021–22 with The Heroes We Aspire, a book created after COVID-19 to bring hope to children through 50 one-page stories and hand-drawn portraits of Indian sports stars who overcame challenges.
From that start we’ve grown into digital stories, dolls, games, and videos — all with one purpose: to curate and share one million real heroes worldwide so millions of children are inspired to become heroes themselves. Early efforts like empowering displaced women in Manipur through crocheting reflect our belief that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary impact when given hope, opportunity, and a platform.

At 1 Million Heroes, our mission is to build a global community of one million heroes — real people from every walk of life who show courage, creativity, and kindness. We share their stories through books, apps, videos, games, and community projects to inspire millions of children worldwide to believe in themselves and grow up as heroes in their own communities.
